ARK runs on your computer. We, the makers of ARK, do not receive your files, your messages or the accounts you connect.

What ARK keeps, and where

Everything ARK keeps stays on your computer: your projects, your conversations with your team, and the results of the work it does. Sign-ins to accounts you connect are kept in your computer's keychain. You can delete any of it at any time.

The AI model you choose

Your team thinks with an AI model you choose: a Claude or ChatGPT subscription, an API key, or a model on your own computer. To do a task, ARK sends that model what the task needs, which can include text from your files or from an account you connected. The model's provider handles that text under its own terms, which you accepted when you signed up with it. A model on your own computer sends nothing anywhere.

Accounts you connect

You can connect accounts so your team can do more, for example Google for Mail and Calendar. ARK asks for each permission only when you connect the capability that needs it, and shows Google's own sign-in page. With a connected Google account, ARK can:

ARK uses this data only to do what you asked, and shows it to you in ARK. It does not sell it, use it for ads, or share it with anyone except the AI model you chose, and only to carry out your request. Google user data is never used to develop, improve or train generalized AI or machine learning models, by us or by anyone we send it to on your behalf.

ARK's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Disconnecting

Open Settings, then Capabilities, and choose Disconnect, or type /disconnect mail. ARK asks Google to revoke its access and deletes the sign-in from your computer. You can also remove ARK's access from your Google Account settings.
